Standard 40’ Containers are manufactured with one set of double doors on one end of the container and are generally ideal to transport voluminous cargo such as furniture, cotton, tobacco, rather than heavy cargo.
Dry container is the most common type of shipping container, also called general-purpose container, dry van container, cargo container or dry box. This type of container is used for transport by road and overseas and forms ideal storage space as well. This shipping container is fully enclosed, protected from the elements and weatherproof, with a rigid roof, sidewalls, and floor.
There are 4 types of 20 feet, 40 feet, 40 feet high cube and 45 feet high cube. A dry container is also used when shipping automobile parts, molds, plastic molded items, cosmetics, raw materials, steel products, wood and other things called general cargo and dangerous goods (no temperature control required).
